On the flip side of the coin are Brits who can't get home. I've just seen this on Twitter and decided to repost, because one respondent to my last post mentioned wanting to help folks in that situation: Advice for British nationals stranded abroad http://www.fco.gov.uk/en/news/latest-news/?view=News&id=22071058 . Includes an advice line, a link to help search out a local embassy, and other potentially helpful-looking advice and links.
Non-Brits similarly stranded abroad may also find the broad ideas of the advice helpful, if needing adjustment for particulars.
