Still haven't decided whether I'm carting myself down to Stonington for a midnight showing of HBP or waiting until tomorrow. Probably waiting and going closer to home. The car may be fixed, but I'm oddly reluctant to take it on a long haul just yet.

Got our new phones today. Yay! Can't access a whole lot with the "mobile web" on them, but that's more a concern for Patsfan than for me. If I'm at work, school, or home, I can get online easily enough, and it's rare I'd care about accessing anything other than email if I were someplace else. If we can't get Patsfan's phone to access his fantasy sports crap, though, we may be trading our LGs in for Blackberries. Or at least trading his in. I don't much want one, but there's a whole BOGO thing with either this model of LG EnV or the Blackberry Curve, so I'm not sure it works to only trade in one.

Gods, his old phone was a piece of crap though. If nothing else, at least he's got something that can stay connected to the charger for more than two seconds. Couldn't port the address book because of that (and because it was too antiquated to do the online backup thingy). Not sure it's even worth donating that one as I plan to do with my old one. Not if it can't be counted on to charge properly, when most of the donation thingies are for battered women who really need the damned thing to work when they need it.

Still nothing on SoG. Brainstormed a bit yesterday, but nothing quite caught. Am having a hard time working up an interest in trying anything other than another Giles/Snape sequel though. Defaulting is actually starting to look like a tempting idea, which is a) not good and b) not me. I'll come up with something, even if it's crap. I just don't want it to be crap.

Need to do some drawbling too. I still have one or two left from the drawble meme, plus I just took five new requests on hpcon_envy. (I really hope people paid attention to the caveat emptor I included. Baby artist here with a good decade of rust since the last round of formal art lessons.)

Damn, but I wrote a lot this month! With finals and Leaky and everything! Somehow, I ended up participating in the Lusty Month of May at the Pervy Werewolf Community on both IJ and DW. I haven't quite sorted out how many words that came to, but as I averaged 300ish words most days, with some more and some less, I'm estimating that thing turned into 9-10K. It also ended up getting kinda dark and twisted at points, so I posted it as part of the Darkfic Fest on lupin_snape as well. It's going to be all kinds of fun trying to clean that mess up to be archivable. Never mind SPaG, which definitely went to hell in a handbasket with the "churn out something every day" bit, I'm pretty sure there are some internal inconsistencies.

I don't think I've ever written a Snape who was quite this much of a bastard before, and I'm not sure how I feel about having done so now. :-/

Anyway, on to the ( wrap-up. )

Next up, hopefully the next chapter of Turbulence. I'd hoped the LMOM thing might get me rolling on that, and I did get some written, but once things turned dark, I knew this wasn't the same Snupin as in Turbulence, and I couldn't write them both at the same time.
