Idiot moment
Mar. 23rd, 2012 01:32 pmScene: me driving along the highway in a car whose brakes have been squeaking for awhile as I procrastinate getting them checked, suddenly hears horrendous grinding noise.
Me: Holy f&^%#! They can't get that bad that fast, can they? Why does my car suddenly sound like the frickin' TARDIS?
*beat*
Me: Oh. That's my phone reminding me to go to the appointment I'm already driving to.
*facepalm*
Dragging the car in tomorrow after that moment of panic anyway, so it served some purpose other than me feeling like an idiot.

queer_fest. It's probably going to be short (minimum is 1000 words, and I have a feeling it'll run somewhere between there and 1500), so if I can at least get a complete draft done before claiming ends, I may grab another, as there are quite a lot of very intriguing prompts to choose from. Claiming is open until April 2, if you're interested. Tons of fandoms represented. *offers chocolate*
