firefly124A tutee (not mine, next table over) said "blimey" this afternoon. This doesn't work in an American accent. At all. Seriously. It's entirely possible that only the Doctor can get away with it in an English accent in this century. It's also possible only Ten can pull it off, but I can't recall hearing any of the others try it. That aside, this led to a conversation in which those of us who've picked up various Briticisms from assorted tv shows were forced to admit we probably sound equally stupid.
Watching House in between writing TW fanfic creates odd problems. Somehow, Ianto has, in the past couple of hours, managed to morph into Chase. Yeah, I don't get it either.
What in the hell kind of clinical rotation is Monday 1st shift Tuesday 2nd shift? At least during the psych outrotation it'll all be days. Note: none of the other groups have a weird split like this. On the other hand, at least I didn't get stuck in the Sat/Sun group. Ouch. Also, I suppose it's better than Monday 2nd shift followed by Tuesday 1st. And it is the hospital I'd hoped for, so I'm not complaining exactly, just befuddled. And slightly amused. Because, dude, I create schedules like that all the time. Generally, other people point out that it's insane to do so.
