This started off as a tangent in a comment elsewhere, but then I realized I'd gone so far off track and had so much to babble, that it might as well be its own post and not derail the other discussion.
It's kind of ironic that I used to be waaaay more body-conscious when I was about half the size I am now. For example, at my previous college, I used to shower in my bathing suit after doing laps in the pool, then grab my stuff out of my locker and get changed in a toilet stall with a door. Nobody else, so far as I could tell, did anything like this. They showered naked and then got dressed at their locker.
Nowadays, IDGAF, and over winter break, I got in the habit of getting dressed in at my locker after showering. Of course, there wasn't really anyone else around. Now there are more people, and about the only thing I can suss about the locker room culture at my current college is nobody else seems to care if they stink after working out, because all anyone else seems to do is change their shoes. So I've taken to doing the towel wrap and getting dressed a bit strategically, because if wandering around in various states of undress isn't the norm, then when in Rome. But it feels weird and like I'm going backwards.
Not that I've done hardly any treadmilling over the last week or two, thanks to the constant weather-related closures. *sigh*
