... but apparently the amount of writing I get done is inversely proportional to the amount of time I have to actually do it. Go figure. Most intensive school week I've had in recent memory, and also the highest word count. Granted, I'm fairly certain most of it is crap, but hopefully there's something salvageable out of those 6732 words. As those were written in bursts of at least 500 words per day, that means I actually get a sticker for the first week of the Fall 09 5_for_five challenge. W00t!

Already over 1200 words for today too. Good grief. There'd best be something salvageable out of this. At the moment it's all scattered scenes with only the vaguest idea of how they're connected. It'd also be nice if it didn't take the next 3 years and over 150,000 words to call it done, but as this process feels very, very familiar (right down to, "Dude, school just got insane, and I'm compulsively writing in every spare second now???), I won't hold my breath. Ah well. Even so, it seems to be a stress release valve, as I swear getting possessed by lost in this story is the only reason I got out of last week passably sane, so whether it ever turns into anything postable (oh yes, other familiar thing? "Batshit fandom I had no intention of getting sucked into." *shakes head*) it's still all good. It would be nice if it would let me write some of the other things I ought to be writing, especially as they're smallish, but so far, no. Funny. I hadn't pegged Jack as the jealous type. *facepalm*
