Holy frak!
May. 16th, 2009 07:08 amI can't believe they killed Kara!
Okay, that's a lie. I can, because I got accidentally spoiled a couple of weeks ago. But I still can't believe it played out like that. Even knowing she was going to die, I really, really wasn't expecting that.
Those of you who've already watched the rest of the series will obviously know whether or not the following speculation has any merit. But I can't help wondering, why did Leoben know so much about her past? How could Leoben know so much about her past? Leoben-in-her-head could be a representation of her own unconscious mind, but Leoben-the-Cylon said some of that stuff too. So how could he know any of that?
Unless, of course, she's a Cylon.
In which case, wtf????? What possible purpose does that serve? Other than, okay, she resurrects with a head full of fleet secrets behind enemy lines. But the groundwork for that would have to go so very far back, it's mind-boggling.
Also, the Cylons would've had to program her with the image of the Eye of Jupiter, which they were also supposedly looking for. Buh?
Speaking of, could they please pick a pantheon? (I realize that's kind of rich coming from me.) Never mind, I'll save the religious grumbles for another day. I'm still sorting out what parts of the religious side of BSG I like versus which annoy the crap out of me, and there is a longish post brewing at some point. But if they're going to mix and match the Greek and Roman pantheons, I wish they'd at least be consistent. I'm not sure a single, hybridized pantheon has room for Zeus and Jupiter, and they've both come up now at different times.
Anyway, back to the main point: zomgswtfbbq?!?!?!?!
