Fun with "The Beast Below."

Right, thing 1? Is that you never follow thing 1 apparently. Thing 2 is apparently go exploring in your nighty. And pick little girls' pockets. And delegate the "interfering in people or planets" to your brand new companion who is in her nighty, never mind the old "don't wander off." *facepalm*

Oh my hell, is that River? It sounds like her. Why would it be her? In the 29th century? I guess it was a bit of an assumption that the 51st was her "home time," but ... Well, I'm not even sure it's her, though the mask actually makes it seem more likely rather than less. And dude, what's up with the water?

I'm torn between being annoyed with the things in the booths and intrigued. They don't seem like Nestenes, more like those clockwork dudes in "Girl in the Fireplace." Which, Moffat, please stop recycling stuff you've already done. Please? Unless they're actually connected somehow, which would be cool.

Ha! I didn't even catch that the Doctor hadn't mentioned Scotland. Come to think of it, did he mention Wales? Wonder if they took their own ship too. But the Irish didn't? *scratches head*

Er, nice Leia imitation. Also *headdesk* for not noticing that the water should've shown engine vibrations. Liz 10?

Amy's 1306 in the 29th century? Right. That's a good 4 centuries more than she ought to be. WTF? Oh, wait. Humanity fled the Earth in the 29th century. That doesn't make it the current time. So that makes a bit more sense then.

Whoa! Helluva message to herself. Intriguing that there's a right to know but then only an option to protest, direly warned against, or to forget.

Nope. Not River. I'm more confused than ever.

All right. Fair enough, I suppose, given that R2D2 and C3PO look like a Dalek and a Cyberman slightly modified. But so far, we've got "Help me, Doctor. You're my only hope." and now also finding themselves standing on something's tongue? Dude! Come on!

"How does a throat have an eject button?"
"Think about it!"
ROFLMAO!!!

Rather done with the Geronimo thing. Both because it's annoying and because it's pretty faily. Not necessarily in that order.

Oh! Liz 10! "Basically, I rule." :-D

The beast won't eat the children. Well, good. I was a little horrified that the Ronnie-kins lookalike had been turned into lunch. This is plenty creepy without that.

Oh God. Yeah. Torture chamber that isn't but is. *shudder*

Brilliant deduction, Amy! Oh, I like her a lot!

Has he ever run away from something? Ha! That's all he does, seems like sometimes.

Er, Daleks in Churchill's England? And he's got the Doctor's phone number. Would've been a useful thing for the dude in 2009 to have had. *facepalm* Or Harriet Jones. Or ... or ... yeah. Actually, I can see the chain being broken by the Master/Saxon's term, but seriously, why didn't Harriet have it if multiple British prime ministers did? Right, continuity is for wusses. Silly me.

Was a fun ep. Not quite as good as the first, I don't think, but still good. Looking forward to next week, definitely, though I could've done without Daleks this early on.

Now to try to get a bit of sleep before work.
