Wow.
So, apparently the 51st century is big on neurogenic lip makeup? First paralyzing, now hallucinogenic. Does that go in the "echoes of things that we've already seen in the Whoniverse" category? I think it does. So does the dead guy talking through the electronic communicator thingy.
As, of course, do the Angels, but their mere presence doesn't quite hit that same "echoes of things past" theme that has yet to really resolve into anything coherent, at least in my head. For those not already playing along,
rm has been asking people to help compile some of these echoes here. According to one of the comments, Moffat has said there's no such theme. I kinda hope he's lying, because if it's not a deliberate thematic build of some kind, then its rather lame recycling and rehashing. Hell, that's what I was complaining about at first, until it got so over-the-top I decided it had to be deliberate.
Love the way River is with the Doctor, not to mention the fact their relationship is COMPLETELY BACKWARDS! Love Amy and River together talking about him.
OMGWTFBBQ with the angels everywhere and the reverse-stuff in the previews for next week?
*bounces*
The frustrating thing about watching on the day it airs is that I have to actually wait for next week to see part 2. Not complaining, just observing.
Now, to try and get some more sleep before work ...
