firefly124: eleventh doctor and amy leaning against tardis (eleven and amy by griggharris)

So, apparently we're in Wales. Or, at least, the little boy's Dad's accent is a lot like Rhys'.

Themselves in ten years? Erm, yeah, Rory, it's not good that your bride-to-be is so surprised by that. But, um ... wtf?

A big drill thing! Because that's never gone wrong before. ("Doctor Who and the Silurians," for example. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if it's Silurians again.)

How much do I love the Sherlock Holmes-quoting kid? Lots!

Ack! There goes Amy. Couldn't hold on tight enough long enough and got sucked away. Presumably not permanently, but still reminiscent of "Doomsday."

Minerals not seen in the area in twenty million years that aren't a "dig here" but a warning? That sounds like roughly the right time-frame. It'd be cool if it's Silurians actually.

Good on the Doctor pointing out to the kid that his dyslexia doesn't have to stop him.

Pen-y-fan? So, definitely thinking it's Wales, as despite the fact I can't read it, it looks Welsh. Online translator gives me garbage for that, but that's not surprising. At least it turned up words. (Head the delicate.) I've lost my foolish book, so no glossary to look it up in, and I'm guessing it's the odd structure that's the problem rather than the vocab. Assuming it's actually Welsh. I'm going to go with the Doctor's translation of Meals on Wheels.

Okay, that containment field is even creepier with the insta-clouds. Also? Letting the kid run off for his headphones is possibly not the greatest idea ever. I'm just saying.

Ack! Well, yeah, like I said: not the greatest idea ever. *chews fingernails*

Infrared sunglasses? Cold-blooded creatures. And the Doctor knows them. Really betting on Silurians now.

Erm, those weapons Ambrose put in the Meals on Wheels van appear to be missing. The CO2 thing, though, seems familiar, and I think that was also from DWatS.

On the one hand, I love that Amy woke up ready to fight. On the other, threatening the ones who have you in a glass coffin of some kind may not be the best idea ever ... as evidenced by the fact they gassed her back to sleep. *sigh*

If you're going to say you're the last of your species, it would help if you hadn't come up with at least two others. *facepalm* Definitely sounds like Silurians, but the Doctor hasn't actually said it yet. But the whole "wipe the primitive apes off the surface and reclaim our planet" thing sounds very familiar. Er, Homo Reptilia or whatever he said, on the other hand, has me scratching my head. Ah! There we go! Yup, Silurians. Knew it! So, an entirely conscious and up-front revisiting of a past nemesis that we've not seen in the new series yet.

Shit, I hope Alaya's wrong, and they don't kill her. Though I'm betting if one does, it'll be Ambrose. (What's with that being a woman's name, btw?)

Oh, shit! What'd she do to Tony? What's happening to him? And wtf with the dissecting?

Ack! It's a two-parter? Dammit! Can't wait till next week now!
