New Year's Goal Stuff
Jan. 1st, 2011 04:03 pmSo, the goals I set for 2010 included a writing goal, physical goal, and spiritual goal, plus one big main goal.
I did manage to complete the main goal, which was to finish nursing school. Yay!
2010 Writing Goal was to "get back to Turbulence and figure out where it's going so's to be able to finish it. And catch up on all the bday fics I've promised folks. And finish TFTWSD. But mostly just keep writing despite school."
Ummmmmmm...
Well, I kept writing. I opened up the bday fic file a few times but couldn't get anything written. Planning to try again though. Turbulence has gone cold. I don't know where it's going, don't even know what happens next. *sigh* TFTWSD still won't stay totally dead, but at least it's letting me write other stuff periodically.
2011 Writing Goal: Just keep writing. Get a bit more actively involved in fandom stuff like ficathons and exchanges and the like. Hopefully finish off some old things left hanging. And it'd be really, really nice if I could manage to write something for the college literary mag. Just wish I had a sliver of an idea for anything non-fannish.
Spiritual goal 2010: Focus more on Kwan Yin. Just because She's not the sort of Goddess to beat Her dedicants around the head when they wander off is no reason to ... wander off. There's a reason I dedicated myself to Her, and I need to reconnect.
Done a bit better here, but not so well as I'd like. So I'm going to keep that goal as is for 2011.
Physical health goal 2010: Keep some sort of regular physical activity. It makes such a huge difference in the fibro when I do this. It's just too damned easy to slack off. Also, if I can find a way to dance more, that'd be good, as I just really miss it.
Total fail here. I mean, I currently could probably be slapped with a nursing diagnosis of "activity intolerance," which is just INSANE! On the way to working on that, though, what with using the school gym equipment. Now, I just need to keep at that, even once I get a job.
And that's that for that.
Happy New Year, everybody!
