Finally watched the 1st ep of Sherlock

Is it bad that I already want to read Sherlock-meets-House fanfic? Because, dude, that would be awesome! I'm not sure if I want to see them teamed up to solve a partially-medical mystery or see Sherlock being treated by House, I just want the scathing repartee and battle of wits that would have to ensue with these two in the same room. It would rival House-Snape!

I want Sherlock-meets-House. It makes my brain go hurty just thinking about it. I'm trying to figure out if the most plausible setup is "House & Wilson go to London for a conference" or "Watson's sent to the US to speak at some war dept-collaboration event, Sherlock insists on accompanying him" or "suspect skips London & winds up in NJ before coming down with something hideous that puts him in House's care; Sherlock's trying to figure out how he did the crime while House is trying to figure out how to get him not to die."

House-in-UK is probably the better premise, because some of Sherlock's expertise is knowing the area, and he doesn't know any part of the US that well. (OTOH, if "the investigation" takes place entirely inside a hospital, that won't matter.)

Could have a *delightful* scene of Wilson & Watson getting drunk together & commiserating. Plus, Chase shutting Sherlock down at some point, because (1) he has several years' practice with a brilliant antisocial manipulative jerk, and (2) he's more willing to be an asshole to strangers than Foreman is.

I also want Sherlock-meets-Shawn Spencer, because Sherlock would be really, really pissed to find this punk kid is better at noticing details than he is. Shawn doesn't know more, isn't better at figuring things out, but he's got better observational skills.

OMGs, yes, Wilson and Watson getting drunk & commiserating is made of awesome! Erm, um, all of it sounds awesome. So, you'll be writing this, yes? ;-)

Who's Shawn Spencer?

Shawn Spencer is the main character of Psych; he has a "Psychic detective agency" in Santa Barbara, CA.

Am not volunteering to write ANYTHING right now.

Psych is nifty. Fun. Shawn is a dilettante wastrel son of a cop with phenomenal observational skills, which he attempts to use mostly to pick up girls.

He decided to start a "psychic" detective agency after several times he called the local police and said "I know who did [recent crime]; it was [the apartment manager] who gave an interview, and I saw three threads on his jacket that could only have come from the murder victim..." etc.

The cops investigated *him* as a potential accomplice. And they wouldn't believe him when he called up and said, "you need to investigate [person]." So he opened a "psychic detective agency" and pretends to get "visions." His father's disgusted with him.

They recently did a Twin Peaks crossover that looked like it was a blast for the actors.
