I'm in the midst of reading a rather old TW fic. Posted in 2007, canon-compliant only through EoD. As these things go, old.
Ran across this gem, which is only mildly spoilery, but completely surreal post-CoE:
One doctor even took pity on his appearance and brought him a clean t-shirt that read "Save Carson Beckett" with a like-named website and a picture of some actor on the front.
Not having the slightest clue who Carson Beckett was and why he needed saving, Ianto asked once he'd changed out of the bloodied white tee.
"Oh, he's a character on Stargate Atlantis. I figured since you were just standing there, you might as well promote the cause."
Seriously? No, really? I actually checked the comments to be sure the author hadn't added this in later. Nope, there are comments date-stamped 2007 and 2008 mentioning that bit.

sarcasticchick starts here and the chapter with that bit is here. (Rating is NC-17 overall, though many/most chapters are PG-13, summary "Ianto is more than just a teaboy" doesn't begin to cover the scope of this very intriguing AU.)
On the tech front, I've gone several rounds with my phone's manual and Verizon's website, and I've still no idea how to get pictures out of my phone. I can send them to an online album, which I can then only apparently access using the phone, which as far as I can tell serves NO PURPOSE WHATSOEVER. Neither my laptop nor my phone are capable of "discovering" the other via Bluetooth, even when all settings appear to be as they should and they are right next to each other. *whimpers* Help?
